“ This place has some amazing food! I highly recommend getting one of their salads- I got the egg roll one. Their incredible dressing and way of making salads is so flavorful crunchy and exciting! Some of us got curries, others got noodles, and others got stir fries and we liked it all. It’s fun to try new cuisines so I highly recommend you try Burmese food here. ”
“ The food and service here have always been really good. We’ve been here several times and loved them before they closed down, so I’m very glad to see that they’ve reopened. The price is extremely reasonable for the portion, and the food is amazing. Nothing is too spicy, salty or greasy. And the service has always been very friendly and attentive. Some people have complained that the environment seems “cheap” for the price you pay, but I disagree. It’s obvious that they put attention and effort into their food and service rather than making the place fancy and uncomfortable. The whole experience is very welcoming, comforting and satisfying, I’d definitely keep coming back. ”
“ We love dining at Mandalay. The food is always delicious. The service is great, and our child loves eating here. They have a great variety of vegetarian options, including being able to sub tofu for many dishes not on the dedicated menu. ”
“ Pictured is - Sunday Special Dan Pout - Pork curry - Nan Gyi tote noodle salad. I highly recommend the Dan Pout. The chicken was so soft and tender! I do wish it came with a little more rice. Everything else was good. My only complain is the Nan Gyi tote is not authentic noodle type, this was just a regular noodle salad. Everything was nonetheless still delicious. It's been awhile since i've had Burmese food and it was so good. ”
“ VERY GOOD FOOD. I will be thinking about the coconut noodle soup for a while We drove 3 hours to eat here and it was worth it. My husband is from Myanmar/Burma and he said it reminded him of his childhood. The food was decently priced! The staff is very kind as well! Be mindful of hours posted, we were a little confused with all the construction on the road that it was open but it thankfully was! ”
“ Ordered two vegetarian entrees and they are delicious. Service is good. A small detail is noticed is that the place on the right side is messy and they haven’t organised the space neatly. Food is delicious though. ”
“ One of my favorite restaurants in the DMV. The separate vegetarian menu, along with the easily made vegetarian options, mean all people have a ton of things to eat from here. Any of the salads are great, the V5 and V6 specifically are incredible, and they have changing specials that have never disappointed! A must stop for anyone who loves food. ”
“ Great takeout! We had the beef potato curry and the pork noodle with egg and both were absolutely delicious! The samosa appetizer was nice bang for your buck and super tasty. Quick and easy, I'm definitely coming back to try more! Inside wasn't open for sit down dining so we order to-go and it was ready within 10 mins. The inside is very plain and kinda run down, but take out was fantastic. Edit: ate in the dining room for dinner with a big group and it's even better in person! The place is clearly family run with great attention to detail. Absolutely delicious! This will be a staple in the neighborhood for sure! ”
